Markets so far this year, have built on the gains at a similar pace to what was experienced in 2019. There is now an acceptance that interest rates will remain low for an extended period, contributing to earnings and economic growth.
The repeating cycle since the early 1980's of raising interest rates to slow inflation followed by a period of lowering rates, is changing. The reasons for the change are still speculation.
